In May of 2011 The Ernie Banks Live Above & Beyond Foundation made a $1,000 gift to the Center on Wrongful Convictions, which is affiliated with Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago.  In addition, to demonstrate support of the U.S. Department of Justice / Federal Bureau of Prisons and appreciation of the ongoing, mutual cooperation towards reversal of wrongful convictions, Liz Banks also serves as a Community Relations Board member for the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) and attended the 2011 Staff Awards/Memorial Service in commemoration of Correctional Worker's Week at the facility in Terminal Island, CA.
